Out now from TG

Last night an image from our shoot with Alice Langeani @ One aired as a cover of MODE magazine on ABC's Ugly Betty. The amazing hat is by Heather Huey. Hair by Andy Starkweather, makeup by Cynthia Rose, styling by Linda Drabova.

Also, our story with the fabulous and always fun Amy Finlayson @ Next is out now in Codigo magazine. Check it out on newstands or on any of our websites.

ken rules

Ken Pao is a really talented photographer and a really great friend to pretty much all the members to TG. And he introduced me to my favorite restaurant in the world, which I am now addicted to. I think they put crack in the food. But that is beside the point! New York Magazine's The Cut has featured his story from the current issue of Noi.se mag as having the "best shirt" -- courtesy of Norma Kamali. It is a cool shirt. But it's way cooler because Ken shot it.

Just for fun I ran a Cornify on the NY Mag page. Unfortunately you can't really control where the unicorns go -- I was hoping they wouldn't go right over his image but oh well. Unicorns will do what they want.

Go Ken!!!

Hey Ladies

Our really good friend and fellow hood rat Laurel Stovall @ NY Models (from Drink Me and Those in Glass Houses) for Rachel Roy. So happy to see her starting off her first runway season with a bang in a great show/collection. Even if they did make her wear a really goofy wig. I didn't recognize her at first but I know those arms anywhere!

Yuliana Bondar @ ? (does anyone know what agency she is with now?) also for Rachel Roy. This girl moves like a dream. Not sure about that blond wig but whatever Rachel wants Rachel gets.

Happy Friday!

images by Martin Creed and Stefan Bruggemann.

And they're off!

TG favorite and super friend Martina @ NY Models (formerly @ Supreme) kicks off fashion week with a bang for Vera Wang Lavender Label Fall 2009. Loving this collection too. I'm sure over the next week Book Report is going to be full of images of Martina pounding the runways (or standing around in the collections, as is more the fashion this season).

Olesya @ Supreme is shown here also at Vera Wang Lavender Label (left) and at today's Monique Lhuillier FW09/10 presentation at the Oak Room in the Plaza Hotel (right). Our editorial with Olesya is out right now in Highlights mag.

Solve Sunsbo = genius

This gorgeous editorial by Solve Sunsbo is from Numero last year. The shapes and makeup are super gorgeous. It looks really familiar to me, but I haven't seen it before.

Cintia rules SI

Our super friend Cintia Dicker @ Marilyn graces this year's Sport's Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. It's a first for her, along with other big fashion models like Anne Vyalitsyna and Hilary Rhoda.

this is a weird moment

out now from TG

Our new menswear story with Joseph Sayers @ Silver is out now in Fantastics Mag. Check him out walking on stilts, wearing chopped up shirts and sleeves that are waaaaay too long. Yay. Styled by Angella, grooming by Andy.

why i dislike fashion week so intensely

the other day while shooting, anna pulled this image up on a fashion blog and i thanked my lucky stars that my attendance is not required at fashion week. everyone is just trying to outcool each other with crazy outfits and creative facial hair. we are so intense! we are Creatives! but we are also Serious, which you can tell by our briefcases! and we are Tough, via our faux brass knuckles! which are neon! look at our pocket squares!

i mean, when you need your outfit to send multiple messages instead of just opening your mouth you have a serious problem. also when you wear leopard print leggings and think it's ok.

this is a good picture

by Noah Kalina. it's nice that he captured these porch steps in an often unseen moment, taking a photograph.

if you enjoy these things, or think that they are cool...

Cat poop coffee.

Tea picked by "specially trained" monkeys.

Weasel vomit coffee.

24 Karat gold lollipops.

... then you are stupid.

I mean, seriously.

But if you really want to get any of this junk, go here.

and you get an A+ in book design

And in writing book titles.

Edward Burtynsky

Edward Burtynsky makes amazing images. With lots of stuff in them. Industrial stuff. And order. Apparently, in 2006 he was appointed to the Order of Canada, Canada's highest civilian honour, recognizing lifetime achievement. I think that means that he owns Canada now. Well, what aboooot it?

Anyway, Edward has a new show right now in Germany, if you happen to be there.
